Leisure Living has provided quality patio and outdoor furnishings since 1982. Our company roots go back much further to the South East Furniture Company.

Horace August Sorensen started South East Furniture Company in 1925. Horace and his father decided Sugarhouse was the right location because it had a good business potential. The store set the standard in the Salt Lake Valley for customer service in the retail furniture business.

South East Furniture Company thrived in its Sugarhouse location. As a growing Salt Lake population spread to the south, residents found it convenient to shop in Sugarhouse instead of all the way in downtown Salt Lake. A major renovation was undertaken to create a modern showroom that made South East Furniture the finest company in its class.

Our current warehouse is located right down the block from the original South East Furniture store. Leisure Living was created from the patio shop at South East Furniture, and Leisure Living has continued the family tradition and legacy begun by Horace Sorensen over 75 years ago. The warehouse is located less than a 2 minute drive from the showroom, so it is convenient and quick to pick up your purchases. Of course, we offer delivery for everything in our showroom.

Our history gives us a strong foundation, but it is what we are doing right now that is truly exciting. We moved into our current showroom in the Spring of 1999, and we are continually expanding the products we show to make it possible for you to have the ultimate outdoor experience. We have everything you need to host a casual or formal outdoor party. Grilling enthusiasts will be in heaven as they browse our selection of spices, smoking chips, recipe books, and specialty tools to raise their next grilling experience to new heights.

We have just the right furnishings to create the ultimate indoor entertainment room. We have Salt Lake City's largest selection and inventory of barstools available all year. We can provide stools for your basement bar or kitchen counter. We also offer beautiful bars, bakers racks, and game tables to create the perfect indoor party setting.
